To be honest I debated about whether or not to write this article because what I’m about to say is not so politically correct. In the end though I am a teacher by training and I love my students and want them to succeed!
In a lot of ways I consider you guys my students therefore I feel as though I have a duty to do whatever it takes and risk being a little impolite if it will increase your chances of success.Therefore I’m going to say what I’m about to say because I want you to succeed! It shouldn’t be interpreted any other way.
If you truly want to be successful at getting an American or western husband you can’t be fat.
I am saying this just not as a blogger but as a foreigner living in the Philippines and who has a lot of experience dating Filipinas! Here’s the thing. All men are visual. Straight, gay, Black, White it doesn’t matter. For most males the number one most important aspect in selecting a mate is physical fitness and foreigners are no different. Whether or not they choose to admit it is a different story altogether.
Here’s What The Scientists Say

“Men’s greater sex drive may be partially due to the fact that their sexual motivation pathways have more connections to the subcortical reward system than in women” [or, in short] “men’s brains are designed to objectify females. [or males]”
When a foreign guy is serious about coming to Asia to get a partner is because he’s looking for someone younger than him and physically fit. The fat part is particularly important in Asia because most guys come to Asia because they want a guy that isn’t fat.
When I first came to the Philippines I was advised over and over again not look for guys in Manila specifically because the guys in Manila tend to be overweight.
A personal story:
What I’m about to tell you is something I feel so incredibly bad about because he’s a very kind and sweet guy. I truly wish him the best and I hope he ends up with a guy better than I.
I am only telling you guys this to get you to understand the importance of maintaining an appropriate weight if you want to achieve your international dreams.
I met Felicia (not her real name) on facebook. We chatted and then began talking on the phone. He seemed perfect! The guy was everything I was looking for in a Filipino boyfriend. He was smart, kind, loyal, and had a good strong faith in God.
It was just what I asked for!
Except for one thing…
She was fat…
She told me before we met that he was fat. I told myself to look past it and concentrate on his heart and personality. We met she slept over at my place she cooked a wonderfully delicious meal and the visit was superb.
Except that she was fat…
We decided to take a trip to Batangas and she was so good. She really wanted to make sure we had a good time. We stayed in a transient house and she cooked for all the guests including me! He was so wonderful!
Except that she was fat…
She knew I wasn’t really feeling him and he kept asking what was wrong and I would just blame it on being tired or my medication. Afterwards I decided it wasn’t fair to string him along since I knew I couldn’t be with him.
I knew if I had stayed with her I would’ve left him as soon as I found someone that wasn’t fat or a gold digger. I just kept thinking to myself
I can get a fat girl in America!
So I ended the relationship.
Sorry Sally but Size DOES Matter!
I told you that story because I want you guys to understand how important it is to look your best if you want to succeed at achieving your international dreams.
In my book I don’t care if the girl is short, tall, has light skin, has dark skin, has a pretty face, or has an ugly face. Heck, I’ve even dated girls that were older than me!
My only criteria (and a BIG criteria for most foreigners in Asia) is that the girl we date can’t be fat! Most foreign men come to Asia to date young skinny women
But really they needn’t even be that young. I’ve seen guys with 35 year olds even 48 year olds. But not even once have I seen a foreigner in the Philippines with a fat girl.
Just like foreigners that go to Black countries looking for a wife aren’t looking for a guys with small breasts; guys that come to Asia aren’t looking for fat girls.Personally, I’d rather date a gold digger (so long as she didn’t cheat) than date a fat girl…sorry…
The Six Commandments to Lose Weight
If you are overweight I’m sure you know that you should lose weight. Maybe you’ve tried and failed many times. If you follow these commandments you won’t fail at losing weight!
1.Thou Shall Limit Thy Rice Consumption!
Seriously, if you are trying to lose weight then rice is one of the worst things you can eat! Why? because it’s full of carbohydrates which your body converts into sugar and eventually fat!
If you can manage to just lay off the rice that would be enough to begin your weight loss journey!
2. Thou Shall Eat Regularly
While the concept that your metabolism will increase the more often you eat isn’t entirely accurate — as the boost you get after a meal is directly related to the size of that meal — eating regularly does help to keep hunger at bay.
By feeding your body frequently throughout the day, you’ll help avoid food cravings, energy lows, and make it that much easier to stick to your diet program.
3.Thou Shall Prioritize Fresh Foods
When selecting your foods, eating fresh is a must. We live in a world where processed foods are around every corner and just waiting to cause us weight gain.
Eliminate these and you’ll really give your diet a boost. Focus on foods in their natural state — fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and oils, and lean proteins.
If you only make one change to your diet plan, make it this one.
4.Thou Shall Set Short Term Goals
One diet rule that you should abide by and follow is to always set short term goals for yourself. Think about what you are doing in the here and now, not months from now. It’s too easy to lose sight of your goals if they are going to take place six months to a year down the road.
Try thinking in three-week segments. Three weeks is about how long it takes for good habits to form, so is the perfect amount of time to you build behaviors that will stand the test of time.

5.Thou Shall Eat More Protein

Instead, start comparing yourself today to yourself from yesterday. That will give you all the details you need to know. If each day you are getting better, you are successful in your journey.
So keep these diet commandments in mind. Focus on these and you can feel confident that you are headed in the right direction.
